b_wright Really great flow. Definitely in the realm of pink floyd-eque "concept albums". Great atmosphere, solid songwriting, and a unique sound. The album has a sort of wistful melancholy feel, intertwined with some upbeat, possibly sarcastic/ ironically joyful moments. Great soundscape. Eternal Life Vol. 1&2 turned me into a lifetime fan and this is a welcome addition to the playlist.

Low Pressure is the third album by I Come to Shanghai. Recorded in their studio in Athens, Georgia, Low Pressure explores the idea of paradise falling apart: A band playing on a beach in the middle of a hurricane. Drawing on a palette of dreamy lap steel, orchestral synthesizers, adventurous guitars, synthesized nature sounds, lush vocal harmonies, and a heavy rhythm section, the album weaves songs and instrumental compositions into unpredictable mood swings and stormy weather patterns. Melodies are long and rarely repeated. Harmonies constantly shift under your feet. An occasional squall of noise swallows the band whole.
